When the pathology becomes complicated our pets may require constant and strict veterinary monitoring. At the Vet24 ICU our vets and nurses work for patients that need special care. To prevent stress for our feline patients this hospital has an especial care unit exclusively for cats. The patients with infectious diseases are kept isolated from other patients in special rooms.
Nowadays, technological advances in the veterinarian diagnostic area, allow us to carry out analysis in few minutes and perform an X-ray image or ultrasound right away. If necessary, computer tomographies (CT), endoscopies, fluoroscopies or a minimum invasive surgery can be performed, for as to diagnose in time and treat the different diseases of our patients in the most efficient and effective way.

Computer tomography
Computer tomography is a medical imaging technique which uses X-rays to obtain anatomical images on any part of the body and they can be used for diagnose. In the veterinary hospital VET24, the equipment allos us to obtain a high definition, 16 slit and 1mm image which is unique in the area of Barcelona. Furthermore, CT can be used to obtain reconstructed 3D images which are of great help for surgeons when planning a surgery.
Fluoroscopy
The surgical arc or Fluoroscopy has traditionally been an essential ally to cardiorespiratory and traumathology medicine due to its dynamic aid during, traumatology reconstructions, pulmonary valveplasties, persistent arterious clogging of the ductus (coils or Amplatz), thacheal stents etc. It is becoming everyday more and more important in many surgical processes such as implanting ureteral stents, ureteral bypasses, protosystemic communications etc. In our hospital we have digital fluoroscopy equipment for those situations that require of its use.
Endoscope
In the veterinary hospital VET24 we have endoscopes available that perfectly adapt to the variety of sizes of our patients. The endoscopy technique allows, though the use of cameras, to examine, assess, diagnose and treat many problems that our patients may have directly in the specific area.
